Campus: Purdue University
Quite simply, GC’09, blew my mind. I looked around Saturday night as the keynote speaker Andy Dalton made the call to respond to the gospel and Greeks stood up from everywhere. There was not a dry eye in the room. 520 students… around 180 volunteers and guests… watched in amazement as God revealed himself to the crowd. The 84 students committing to Christ was exciting to see, but the best part for me… was seeing my leaders’ faces streaming with tears. One after another, they came rushing up to me saying “Tyler, you have got to hear this…” or “Tyler, you’ll never believe who just stood up”. Sheer joy. True joy. 27 Purdue Students commited their lives to Christ this weekend. The House Ministry Leader’s hard work in getting their non-Christian brothers and sisters to the conference paid off big time! Their reward; that feeling they got as they saw their friends stand, nothing beats it. Something that they… and I… will not soon forget…
