When Ted first joined Sigma Phi Epsilon, he had a strong desire to be a light in the Greek system and especially to his brothers. For the first year he made no progress on that desire, just went along with the motions and never really took that leap of faith. Ted had been going to Greek IV and was somewhat active through that time but it was not until Greek Conference a few weeks ago that God really gave him a vision and an urge to go back to James Madison University and really step out of his comfort zone for his brothers. Since the conference, he has started a fraternity wide bible study for any guy in the greek system. They have met three times and have about 15-20 guys that are coming out or are interested in coming out. All the guys represent six different fraternities. It has been such a blessing for them to come together as fraternity men and break down those boundaries between chapters while being vulnerable with each other and talking about some real issues in life. Each week they are getting 10-12 guys out and are sharing their joys, struggles and getting time in the Word. Ted has already seen guys growing in their faith and being a light to their brothers, which is an awesome example of how God is working in the fraternities here at of JMU.
